The U.S based company, Equus, best known for the Bass 770 muscle, has come up with something new in the form of a C7 Corvette based sports car called Equus Throwback. The supercar will be offered in different engine options that will allow up to 1,000 hp and 822 lb-ft torque. This huge power will enable it sprint from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.5 seconds and go over 250 mph.
The shape of the car is majorly accented taking inspiration from the C7 and C3 Corvette models, however, elements of C2 and other older models are also visible, especially in the split rear-window design and the round taillights synonymous with older generation Corvette cars. The Throwback’s body is made completely with carbon-fiber.
The lavish interior has a regal feel with diamond covered seats and Alcantara accents, though the metal trim present inside could prove to be a deal-breaker for some, as it gives a rather dull feel to the otherwise exciting interior.
The Equus Throwback is priced at $130,000 for the base model, which is fine considering the specs. To make it desirable, the U.S based Equus will only manufacture 25 units. Details pertaining to the production of the supercar are yet be revealed.
