The rumors about CT6 sedan have been circulating in the media for quite some time and finally it hit the floors of New York Auto Show. Last September, Cadillac’s brand headquarter was moved from Detroit to New York City, as the company wanted to broaden its image and improve its reach. Enter the CT6 sedan – the first completely new product after the move.
According to the automaker, they emphasized on three elements when the CT6 was being designed encompassing indulgence, connectivity and agility.
The new CT6 is equipped with GM’s new rear-drive Omega platform featuring an extensive use of aluminum. The car will come in three basic engine options: 2.0-liter turbo four making 265 hp, 335-hp 3.6-liter V6 and 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, which can produce 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
Other features include Active Chassis System with rear steering, and an optional Magnetic Ride Control. Add the all-wheel drive to the mix and imagine the CT6 potential.
