A Facebook page by the name Cavillino Rampante has recently posted a photo of an attractive yellow coupe which is believed to be none other than the new 2016 Ferrari F12 GTO. It was spotted by this sharp-eye individual inside the Ferrari Headquarters.
Although it is predicted to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15th, it is always exciting to see it before the official launch. From the looks of it, the carefully designed aerodynamic exterior featuring a light weight carbon fibre body kit, a redesigned spoiler and more violent set of rear diffusers, surely hint that this F12 will be classified as a ‘Speciale’ Ferrari.
Under the hood, it is expected to house a 6.3-litre V12 engine that will generate around 760 hp, contrary to the standard F12 which produces 731 hp. The 0 to 100 km/h rating will also be improved by a small fraction, thanks to the increased horsepower.
Rumours suggest that only 650 examples will be built by the automaker. No official word regarding the price is heard, but we can expect it to cost around $50,000 to $70,000 more than the standard Ferrari F12.
