The first NSX was introduced 25 years back rendering a combination of performance and aggressive styling. With the first generation model halted in 2005, Honda decided to re-introduce the second generation with a hybrid powertrain.
The 2nd generation was originally unveiled as a concept car in 2012 at North American International Auto Show and later the production model dubbed as 2017 Acura NSX was shown to the public at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
The exterior styling of the 2017 NSX is absolutely stunning, sporting light weight materials like carbon fiber, and aluminum and sheet molding compound. The overall curb weight stands at around 3,803 pounds.
Under the hood, it carries a twin turbo-charged 3.5L V6 engine along with an electric motor that can generate up to 573 horsepower. The electric motor produces 73 horsepower, while the rest is supplied by the gasoline engine. We are not yet sure about the performance statistics, but considering the powertrain details, the 2017 NSX can easily go from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds.
The pricing details have not been announced too, but expect it to be around $150,000.
