The new 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 made its debut a couple of months back and boasts minor updates. It is available in five trim levels: Sierra (base), SLE, SLT, All-Terrain and the range topping Denali.
The 2017 GMC Sierra maintains the aggressive and rugged persona featuring a large chrome grille, GMC’s signature LED lightings, thin profile LED tail lights, 17-inch alloy wheels and a tinted solar absorbing glass.
The interior offers luxury amenities including single-zone air conditioning system, cruise control, 8-inch diagonal color display, Bluetooth connectivity, voice activated commands, smart-phone integration and an optional 4G WI-FI hotspot. The 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 also includes advanced safety facilities such as forward automatic braking system, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, safety alert seat and more.
Under the hood, it carries a base 4.3-liter V6 engine which produces 285 horsepower and 305 lb.-ft of torque. Customers can also opt for the more powerful 5.3L V8 engine generating 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Since the powertrain offers a direct injection, variable valve timing and active fuel Management technology, the fuel economy rating is superb. The 4.3L V6 engine has an EPA rating of 18/24 mpg (city/highway).
The price of the 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 starts at $28,205.
