Just a week back, the American muscle car maker hinted the unveiling of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, and also released an exciting teaser video giving us a good hint of the car’s look. Nevertheless, most of the details are still a mystery and we would have to wait for the 2017 New York Auto Show in April to know more about the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon.
What we do know is that the new Challenger SRT will be 200 pounds lighter than the current Hellcat. Moreover, recent teaser photos and videos reveal that it will have a wider track, plus the automaker has mentioned that the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will receive updates for the suspension and steering. The brakes and the interior elements will also be enhanced.
The current Hellcat powertrain consists of a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that delivers 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The 2018 Challenger is expected to offer a higher power output.
Dodge will release a total of 12 teaser videos for the new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The countdown for videos can be seen at the new website, which Dodge has just set up.
