A Ferrari insider has sent the word out that the F12 GTO is on collision course with IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, taking place this September. The anticipated speedster might be a preview phase of the F12 Berlinetta, whose leaked pictures have already overwhelmed servers across auto news industry.
As expected from a typical GTO, it will be wearing an abbreviated Gran Turismo Omologata badge and a new stylish body language that will do the justice to its legendary line-up. Moreover, it will feature a light body of 3,140 pounds and a powerful 800 horsepower engine, assumingly substantiated from the DNA of LaFerrari’s HY-KERS system.
The info has been passed on by GTSpirit, which further reports that a total 650 units of F12 GTO will be produced and deliveries might start after June 2016. Comparatively, that are 51 more cars, opposed to the total number of 599 GTOs manufactured.
If the report is authentic, the GTO flagship will finally be passed on to Ferrari F12 series, as it will surface to meet the world during the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay put.
