Alfa Romeo’s lineup of cars will expand from three to eight by 2018, as revealed by Sergio Marchionne, the head of Italian automaker’s parent company, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
The vehicles will possess extraordinary modern features and with lightweight and sporty characteristics, they will give a tough time to other popular car manufacturers in the coming years. The upcoming Alfa Romeo cars will have perfect 50-50 weight distribution, highly efficient engines, top-class power to weight ratios and wonderful exterior designs.
Customers will have the options of all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive or both configurations. However, if you are an Alfa Romeo fan, you will have to wait till the mid or late 2016 before most of these vehicles are made available for sale. While the latest 4C Spider and the 4C sports are expected to be introduced this year, only one of those eight vehicles will be launched in 2015.
The Giulietta is likely to be replaced by a new sedan in a couple of years and the 4C model will also be phased out.
The popular carmaker has also expressed that engineers from Ferrari will also play an important role in the development of the future Alfa Romeo cars.
