Fiat has unveiled its latest concept car, 500L Vans at the 2014 Vans US Open for Surfing. This special edition five-door mini MPV is exclusively designed for the event with notable modifications.
Although FIAT has not confirmed the powertrain and detailed features of the concept car, we can anticipate that they would be similar to a standard 500L. The 2014 Fiat 500L comes with 0.9 and 1.4 litre petrol engines, while 1.3 and 1.6 litre diesel engines are also available.
The design features are quite definite, as the automaker has released the images of the concept car. The exterior is painted in two-tone combination of white and dark blue, while front grille is covered by four hollow-shaped daytime running LED lights. The roof carries a checkered motif inspired by Vans’ classic slip-on shoes. On the inside, dashboard and instrument panel are wrapped up in Vans logo stickers, while the storage bins and pedals carry Vans waffle sole on them.
Earlier this year, FIAT launched Beats Edition of 500L that was inspired by Dr. Dre. Here is another bespoke creation from the Italian automaker inspired by skaters and surfers across California. However, no such indication has yet been set to bring this one under production.
