A German automobile tuner Manhart Performance has revealed the pictures of a custom-made BMW i8 with a caption stating “Coming Soon”. The pictures show customized bodywork with stunning new alloy wheels.
The exterior of this i8 carries Golden Yellow accents with Sophisto Grey Brilliant Effect. The Yellow color appears on rear bumper, side skirts, side mirrors, front grille and marque logo. Besides, it carries newly designed alloy wheels with the same yellow accent brakes. However, the workshop has not revealed any kind of engine upgrades or special features.
The new BMW i8 is a hybrid sports coupe that debuted earlier this year and is already on the roads. It is powered by a 1.5 liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder gasoline engine producing 231 horsepower and 320 Nm torque. The engine is coupled with an electric motor generating additional 131 horsepower and 250 Nm torque.
The trend of personalizing high-profile rides is here for a long while. Manhart Performance is a Wuppertal-based automotive customization, wholesaling and restoration company known for its work done on BMW vehicles for the past 20 years. Although the company has not said anything about the launch of this customized i8, we can expect it to be delivered soon, based on the designer’s reputation.
