Jeep, a subsidiary of Chrysler Group LLC, has presented the upcoming versions of its world-class SUVs, introducing an all-new subcompact crossover named Renegade. This is the smallest SUV in its entire lineup, and the first one to be manufactured in Europe.
Jeep Renegade is the first subcompact crossover from the American automaker with different powertrains for different regions. That one to arrive in the Middle East will be powered by a Chrysler 2.4 liter four-cylinder Tigershark MultiAir2 engine that boasts 184 horsepower and 240 Nm torque. This mini SUV is built on the small-wide 4×4 architecture and uses nine-speed Chrysler automatic transmission.
The exterior of 2015 Renegade is beautifully designed with a typical Jeep-oriented style and sportiness. The vertical-slotted front-grille affixed between round-shaped headlamps makes it easily identifiable as a Jeep, while the My Sky retractable roof panels prove the company’s commitment to innovation.
The interior is technologically adorned with high-tech features and elegantly crafted innovative materials. Moreover, the front-passenger seat and the rear seat bench can be folded down to extend the cargo area.
Other models of the 2015 lineup include Cherokee, Compass, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee SRT, Patriot, Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. The 2015 Jeep Renegade is currently under production at Melfi – Italy, and will be delivered to targeted markets by the end of this year.
