Land Rover has recently announced some new luxury features for its flagship model, Discovery. These features are derived from the XXV Special Edition, which was launched to celebrate its 25 years of existence.
Newly added options are aimed to enhance luxurious sensation of this fourth generation midsize SUV from the British automaker. The most commended of these options is the enhanced in-car connectivity technology with InControl Apps that offers services like media streaming, internet radio and location services, media streaming, satellite navigation through latest iPhone and Android-based smartphones.
The interior is further enriched with new features including Grand Black Lacquer wood and leather steering wheel, Straight Grained Walnut wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel and Ebony/Cirrus Dual-tone Windsor leather seats.
Land Rover Discovery is now available in new body colors including Montalcino Red, Kalkoura Stone and Aruba, while an all-new Yulong White will also be introduced in the near future. Moreover, consumers can now request for 20 inch 5-split spoke forged alloy wheels.
Discovery’s powertrain remains the same with 3.0 liter V6 supercharged engine, which gives an output of 340 horsepower and 450 Nm torque using eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Since its introduction in 1989, Discovery has remained the flagship model of Land Rover by selling over a million units worldwide.
