The launch of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS created quite an uproar in the automotive world but gladly Ferrari has something a lot better in store. Presenting the new Ferrari Pista which is the latest track-oriented sports car by the Italian automaker that delivers a phenomenal 711 bhp.
The Ferrari Pista is equipped with a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine which is found in the regular 488. However, the power output has been improved from 661 to 711 bhp, thanks to the use of lightweight components. The overall weight is curtailed by 90 Kg. The official word suggests that the New Ferrari Pista will be capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in just 2.85 seconds with a top speed of 211 mph.
Besides weight reduction, a number of aerodynamic components have been borrowed and installed from the Ferrari 488 GTE such as the front and rear-diffuser, a dolphin-tail spoiler and a revised front bumper. The sixth-generation Side-Slip Angle Control is also a part of the Ferrari Pista.
Ferrari has not yet announced the price for the new Pista but considering the 488 GTB starts from $260,000, we expect Pista to be priced above $300,000.
