It will be the best twenty kilometers of your life.

What could be better than tearing through a preserved national park in the Austrian mountains on a thirty kilometer stretch of road that offers some gorgeous twists, long sweeps, sharp turns and steep climbs? The only thing that is somewhat testing are the toll booths along this road, but they are by no means bothersome. If anything, they will allow you to enjoy this mesmeric road, even more, taking in the views each time you have to slow and allowing you to catch your breath, which is needed, trust us. What we absolutely love about this road is that it becomes more and more intense the lower you drop; the long sweeps becoming fast switchbacks and fun twists, each of them enjoying their own personal waterfalls. Yeah, the Silvrettastrasse is definitely one to go and see for yourself.
