The American automaker, Ford is all set to introduce a more aggressive variant of the high performance Shelby GT350 Mustang. Being dubbed as Shelby GT350R, this sports coupe will be revealed at the 2015 North American International Auto Show this January.
Recently, Ford launched the 2015 Mustang Shelby GT350 at the LA Auto Show. We came to know that the manufacturer has no intentions to deliver the convertible variant of GT350. However, the company has a valid reason to do so. The retractable roof will reduce the stiffness of GT350, preventing it from delivering its best.
The new Shelby GT350R is expected to carry a 5.2 liter V8 engine with over 500 horsepower and 542 Nm torque. As this car will be more track-oriented, it will feature high performance brakes, improved suspension, four-point roll bar and unique wheels covered in stickier tires. It may also include injection-molded carbon fiber composite grille, carbon ceramic brakes and a suspension setup that is more focused on performance rather than quality.
This year, Ford launched the sixth generation of Mustang, which is the most acclaimed muscle car in the automotive history. As the sales of 2015 model has started earlier this month, the consumer response is yet to be seen.
